What is LENS Neurofeedback?LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) is a safe, non-invasive, and fast-acting approach that uses minimal electromagnetic energy to disrupt stuck brainwave patterns, promoting efficient self-regulation. Unlike traditional neurofeedback, which may require 40-50 sessions, LENS delivers noticeable results in as few as 12 sessions, requiring no active participation—making it accessible to children, individuals with disabilities, or those too fatigued to engage. Its data-driven, customizable design tailors treatment to each client’s unique brain activity, enhancing outcomes for concerns like anxiety, ADHD, and brain injuries. Cost-effective and efficient, LENS Neurofeedback offers a gentle, personalized path to cognitive, emotional, and neurological wellness. Think of LENS Neurofeedback like tuning a podcast on your smartphone. When you select a podcast streaming at a clear signal—say, a frequency of 100—you hear every word effortlessly, absorbing the content as intended without strain. Learning a new episode’s details comes naturally and quickly. Now, picture the signal slipping to 99.9: static creeps in, and you only catch 75% of the conversation. You might still follow along, but it takes more focus, drains your energy, and feels frustrating—making it harder to grasp new information. LENS Neurofeedback fine-tunes your brain’s dominant frequency back to its optimal setting, like adjusting from 99.9 to 100. The closer we get to that sweet spot, the clearer and more efficient your brain operates, helping you function at your best. At Harmonized Brain Centers, we believe a harmonized brain leads to a harmonized life.

Does LENS Neurofeedback hurt? There is no pain or discomfort with LENS Neurofeedback. We mimic a brain wave (a dominiant frequency) like a radio wave and the energy we use is about 10,000 times less intense than using a cell phone. Occasionally, someone may feel a little “buzzing”. However, it doesn’t last for more than a few seconds and we can stop at any time if it is uncomfortable. Also, some people will feel an energy wave move throughout their head and body, but most clients do not feel anything.
-
How many sessions? At Harmonized Brain Centers, our 12-session plan is a cornerstone of our drug-free, safe, and effective approach to optimizing brain function using interventions like LENS Neurofeedback, Enhanced Blood Flow Therapy, and Brain Health Coaching. Designed to span about three months with weekly sessions, this plan allows us to collect comprehensive data, observe progress through life’s ups and downs, and enhance overall brain efficiency—rather than just addressing symptoms. While flexible to accommodate individual needs (intensifying to 4-6 sessions per week or adjusting to 8 sessions for financial considerations), the 12-session structure ensures sufficient time to build resilience, refine care, and achieve lasting results. It balances standardization with adaptability, offering both clients and practitioners a clear framework for sustainable outcomes and operational efficiency.
-
How Does LENS Neurofeedback Work?LENS Neurofeedback uses sensors placed on the scalp to measure brainwave activity. This data is processed by a computer, which then sends back a tiny, imperceptible signal. This signal encourages the brain to break free from old patterns and create new, more optimal ways of functioning.

Who Can Benefit from LENS NeurofeedbackLENS Neurofeedback is designed to enhance brain efficiency, making it a versatile tool that can benefit a wide range of individuals, regardless of a formal diagnosis. At Harmonized Brain Centers, we focus less on labels like anxiety, depression, seizure disorders, concussions, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, processing disorders, sensory issues, or migraines, and more on optimizing how the brain functions as a whole. This means anyone experiencing challenges with mental clarity, emotional regulation, cognitive performance, or neurological resilience—whether due to injury, stress, or developmental hurdles—can find value in LENS. From children struggling to focus, to adults seeking relief from chronic discomfort, to those simply aiming to unlock their brain’s full potential, LENS offers a safe, non-invasive way to improve overall well-being by helping the brain operate more effectively.
-
Are there any side effects from LENS NeurofeedbackLENS Neurofeedback is considered safe and non-invasive. Some individuals may experience temporary feelings of fatigue, but these typically pass quickly. If you have any specific health concerns, it's always a good idea to consult with your healthcare provider.

Why didn't my Doctor tell be about LENS Neurofeedback?LENS Neurofeedback was introduced in the early 1990's while traditional neurofeedback started in the late 1950's; however, most doctors do not recommend Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) or similar alternative treatments because their training is rooted in allopathic medicine, which emphasizes pharmaceuticals and chemical responses in the brain to address health issues. This approach contrasts with the mental health field’s focus on behavioral interventions. Neurofeedback, including LENS, occupies a middle ground, leveraging the brain’s electrical activity (measured via electroencephalogram- EEG) to promote self-regulation and enhance brain function efficiency. Because it diverges from the conventional reliance on medication and does not fall within the validation of pharmaceutical treatments within the allopathic framework, many doctors remain skeptical or unfamiliar with its efficacy and application, leading them to favor more established, chemically-based solutions over this technology. Usually, clients will find us after they have tried many different traditional approaches and are desperate for answers and that the allopathic method can not help.
